About Rutland Youth Choirs

We run three choirs for young people aged 5+ based in Rutland and the surrounding area. The choirs meet weekly on Thursday afternoons during term-time and provide a welcoming, inclusive space for young people who would like to develop their musical interests and to create friendships with other budding musicians. Rehearsals are fun and varied, encompassing warm-ups, and a wide variety of songs in different styles. We also offer music theory tuition for Junior Choir and Senior Choir singers as part of a singer membership. 

There is no audition process or need to have prior musical experience; all you need is enthusiasm!

Our rehearsals take place at All Saints' Church, Oakham. The timings are as follows:

Young Voices (Schools Years 1-3)

3.45pm	Drinks & biscuits/colouring in the Church Hall
4.00 - 4.40pm	Rehearsal in Church

Junior Choir (School Years 4-6)

3.45pm	Drinks & biscuits/games in the Church Hall
4.00 - 4.25pm	Junior Choir Theory Club in Church Hall (optional but strongly recommended)
4.30 - 5.20pm	Rehearsal in Church

Senior Choir (School Years 7-13) 

4.30pm - 5.05pm	Senior Choir Theory Club in the Church Hall (optional but strongly recommended)
5.10 - 6.00pm	Rehearsal in Church
